Wow, y’all!
We just learned that my first book, A Bead and a Prayer: A Beginner’s Guide to Protestant Prayer Beads, has won a 2014 Best Book Award. It was named a finalist in the Religion: Christianity category. What’s really fun is that 3 of the 6 finalists for this category were published by Upper Room Books. This is includes Saffron Cross: The Unlikely Story of How a Christian Minister Married a Hindu Monk, written by my good friend, J. Dana Trent. Congrats to Dana, and go Upper Room Books!
As many of you know, this is the second honor for A Bead and a Prayer: in April it was named Book of the Year in the Christian Living category by the Christian Small Publisher Association. I continue to be amazed and humbled by the reception for this little book! Thanks for your support!
Grateful for sharing your God given talent through your book! God’s people need your talent through prayer bead help! Prayer for you!!
Kristen, Wow is right. I am so happy for you. What great news this is. Thanks for sharing it. Love, Sally
